Levesque v. Gagne, 2024 QCCQ 42

The Court of Quebec held that three Facebook posts by the defendant were defamatory and awarded the plaintiff $12,000 compensatory damages and $8,000 punitive damages. Approximately 200 people read the first post and there were 15 disparaging or threatening comments. The Court held that the posts came after a long series of relentless activities hostile to the plaintiff, including prior disparaging publications.
