Meunier v. Bouchard-Tremblay, 2024 QCCQ 1122

The Quebec Court (Civil Chamber) awarded the defendant/counterclaimant $1,500 over a disparaging Facebook post which depicted a woman with hair the same colour as the defendant/counterclaimant.  Twenty-eight comments followed this post, one of which named the defendant/counterclaimant, and one of the plaintiff’s replies to the comments appeared to confirm the post related to the defendant/counterclaimant.
